The team itself isn’t giving us much to be very happy about, but the return of Drew to the broadcast team gives us hope that maybe the old pairing on TV is about to be recreated. We talk about that, but also about the not-very-good things on the ice over the last two weeks as well.

CTC Podcast 155 – No Alex Means Rant Time
Colin and I got to drive this week’s podcast without parental guidance. This is what you get, Sharks fans. Mainly I complained about decisions to waste minutes on older mediocrities and EK65 being shackled to Vlasic. Colin provided reasoned responses.
CTC Podcast 154 – It’s Early…Sorta
The #sjsharks are 1-1 after a home-and-not-home series against the Arizona Coyotes…and so far things don’t look very different from a year ago…mostly. We talk about our early takeaways on systemic changes, players getting a shot at the NHL roster, etc, in this second podcast of the year.
CTC Podcast 153 – Cautionary Tales
Welp, we’ve finally arrived at the beginning of a new season and things look very different for the team in teal. No Jumbo (sadface), no Melkman (happy face), and basically no bottom 6. Oh and our defense is aging like they just drank from the wrong cup in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. So, we’ve got our thoughts on the season to come. Enjoy! And apologies for hearing me playing with poker chips. I forgot that even if I muted myself on discord, OBS doesn’t care.
CTC Podcast 152 – The End of the Season As We Know It
Postponed, this hockey season is. And what the hell are we supposed to do now?
Well, Alex and Ben have board game and booze suggestions for those long winter days at home…alone or stuck with others in social isolation. Listen in to find out what they are.
CTC Podcast 151 – Simek’s Agent for MVP
The title of this podcast says a lot about what we talk about this week. But also, we took questions on the NHL salary cap projections coming out of the GM meetings and what the Sharks can do in FA this summer. So enjoy!
CTC Podcast 150 – World Turned Upside Down
It was the strangest of trade deadlines for #sjsharks fans — the San Jose Sharks were, for the first time in a long time, sellers at the trade deadline. The return was worth talking about, and that’s what Ben and Alex spent most of this week’s cast discussing.
Go Sharks!
CTC Podcast 149 – The Brendan Dillon Coffee ‘Cast
No, this episode isn’t about coffee. It’s just that Alex was high out of his gourd on coffee, apparently, the entire episode. But Starbucks, if you want to sponsor us with free late Friday night lattes, hit me up.
Anyway, this week we got some great questions about the rest of the season and beyond from the community and also bid farewell to Brendan Dillon, who’s going to a better place — Washington D.C.. And the playoffs.
Go Brendan Dillon. Thanks for everything.
CTC Podcast 148 – The 11 Million Dollar Thumb
We can rebuild it. Just not this year. So, what do the #sjsharks do with all of the LTIR cap space they just got? What do they do with their coaching spot once Boughner is not re-upped (we hope). What does the NHL do about the systemic racism that gives bad guy Evander Kane 3 games for a bad hockey play but $5000 fine to bad guy Zdeno Chara for clubbing bad guy Brendan Gallagher illegally? Colin and I discuss this and more.
CTC Podcast 147 – Fun Must Be Not This Year, Kid
Tomas Hertl is hurt and we’re sad. The season is over (it already was, actually), and I wish the #sjsharks realized it. Listen to us talk about that and more, in this here podcast.
